Advantages

V-0 at 5 wt%

Only 5 wt% loading endows epoxy resin with UL-94 V-0 rating and a high LOI of 36.4%, demonstrating excellent flame retardant efficiency at a low dosage.

Enhanced thermal stability

The apparent activation energy of thermal degradation nearly doubles from 109.2 kJ·mol⁻¹ to 184.7 kJ·mol⁻¹, indicating greatly improved pyrolysis resistance.

Effective heat suppression

Peak heat release rate and total heat release are reduced by 48.5% and 38.3%, respectively, markedly lowering fire hazard.

Simultaneous mechanical reinforcement

While maintaining transparency, tensile, impact, and flexural strengths are increased by 8.3%, 6.0%, and 11.5%, respectively, achieving synergistic flame retardancy and reinforcement.
