Using a pre-made diaminodiacid bridge to replace the A-B chain terminal disulfide, H2 relaxin analogues can be rapidly produced by single-shot automated solid-phase synthesis and one-step folding, with structures and activities nearly identical to the natural protein, greatly simplifying access to insulin superfamily derivatives.
