Electrically tunable polarization imaging

With a single layer of infrared twisted nematic liquid crystal module placed before a common IR camera, the polarization orientation of imaging beams can be continuously or stepwise adjusted electrically, enabling ideal polarization modulation in three IR atmospheric windows, improving imaging contrast and suppressing local glare and ghosting.
