Rapid mixing and co-precipitation in the opposite spray process yield uniform ultrafine particles with an average size of ~10 μm.
The ultrafine cocrystal structure improves intermolecular interactions, making initiation under drop-weight impact much harder and improving safety.
The opposite spray method uses simple equipment, acetone as solvent, and operates at 30 °C under ambient pressure, avoiding complex conditions.
