Advantages

The MTC-10 composite introduces oxygen vacancies and enhances surface alkalinity via synergistic coupling of MgO and CaCO₃, accelerating carrier migration.

NO₂ byproduct halved

CaCO3 functions as a “transfer hub”, promoting charge redistribution, accelerating ROS generation, and facilitating nitrite-to-nitrate conversion, thereby suppressing toxic NO2/N2O4 intermediates.

Activation via CO₂ mineralization

The cement-based substrate's catalytic functionality enables in situ CaCO₃ generation through CO₂ mineralization, eliminating complex synthesis of additional cocatalysts.
