Sub-8 nm adaptive sieving

This sub-8 nm ultrathin film features tunable organic cage-based water channels, prepared via free-interface-confined self-assembly and crosslinking, with water permeability 1-2 orders of magnitude higher than traditional polymeric membranes, and channel microenvironments adjustable by simple anion exchange for graded molecular sieving.
